The following projects are just a few examples of some of the diverse projects Old Vic Productions is currently involved in:

Billy Elliot The Musical - London
The brilliant stage production of Billy Elliot The Musical is an adaptation of one of the most adored British films of the last decade. The extraordinary movie written by Lee Hall, directed by Stephen Daldry and choreographed by Peter Darling, has been developed for the stage by the same multi-award winning creative team. The score has been composed by music legend Elton John, the most celebrated UK singer songwriter of the last 30 years.

Press and audiences alike have been enchanted by Billy Elliot The Musical and the production has generated spectacular results both critically and commercially. Dubbed 'the Brit Musical of the decade', the show continues to attract audiences in their droves and is a tremendous addition to the Company's portfolio.

In addition to the countless rave reviews from the British media, Billy Elliot The Musical has not gone unnoticed by the entertainment trade, accumulating over 14 industry awards in just ten months.

Billy Elliot the Musical - Broadway
Having already secured a glowing review from one of New York's most prominent theatre critics, taking Billy Elliot The Musical to Broadway is a hugely exciting prospect for Old Vic Productions, creating the opportunity to enthral a whole new audience with this moving tale. Like countless other West End musicals such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia that have successfully transferred to Broadway, Billy Elliot The Musical looks set to be as hot a prospect on North American shores as it has been in the UK. Billy Elliot the Musical will open at the Imperial Theater on Broadway on 13th November 2008.

Billy Elliot The Musical - Worldwide
The Company, in conjunction with co-producers Working Title, is exploring ways to take Billy Elliot The Musical to other territories worldwide. Such agreements may take the form of working with local promoters in particular regions whereby Old Vic Productions would be entitled to a revenue share and, therefore, limited risk. In the meantime, critics in Europe and beyond continue to heap praise on this production:

Vagina Monologues One of Old Vic Productions' most successful collaborations to date is the much-celebrated Vagina Monologues which has experienced phenomenal success in the West End and continues to play to packed houses throughout its UK tour. Sophie Dahl, Jerry Hall, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett and Melanie Griffith have been just some of the continually revolving cast members to be involved in Eve Ensler's stage show and the popularity of this candid and irreverent production is showing no signs of abating just yet.

Greene Light (Films) Limited

In February 2006, Old Vic Productions (Films) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Old Vic Productions, was established to invest in British film making.

The company's first co-production was a feature film entitled Ruby Blue starring Bob Hoskins. The film was produced as a joint venture.

In 2008, the company was renamed Greene Light (Films) Limited. With the aim of nurturing emerging talent, Greene Light (Films) produced its first short film, entitled Player, written by Sam Hodges. He also starred in the film alongside Pete Postlethwaite, Celia Imrie and Haydn Gwynne. The film was directed by Mary Nighy.

Greene Light (Films) Limited will continue to seek out exciting new opportunities in film production.
