The Company was founded as Criterion Productions plc in 1993 by Sally Greene with Lord Attenborough as Chairman. Sally remains the Chief Executive Officer and is chiefly responsible for assembling a Board of Directors that contains some of the most respected and talented actors and directors in the English-speaking world
Since its formation in 1993, Sally Greene has been the driving force behind Old Vic Productions. Her unquenchable thirst for sourcing and developing brilliant material together with the drive to transform it into a compelling theatrical experience makes her one of the UK's leading theatre producers. As co-producer, the critical and commercial success of Billy Elliot The Musical speaks for itself, becoming one of the highest earning West End shows just one year after opening.
In addition to her achievements as a theatre producer, Sally's keen eye for detail and irrepressible entrepreneurial instincts have led to the sympathetic restoration and rejuvenation of some of London's most iconic establishments including the Richmond Theatre, The Criterion, the Old Vic and the relaunched Ronnie Scott's.
This year Old Vic Productions welcomed Bob Diamond as our new Chairman.
